A Voice for the Broken

“From 2019 to 2025, I lived in vans and tents directly among the homeless and addicts on Tenerife, bringing a message of radical restoration.”

My name is Bjarne ten Harkel. After years of gaining professional experience within addiction care, God called me to the streets. Caring Arms was born out of a deep desire to reach those who have given up on hope and want nothing more to do with God and threathment.

Through authentic, long-term friendships, we build trust where others often give up. Over the years, we have seen dozens of lives radically transformed, chains broken, and people finding a completely new life in Christ.

A New Season: From the Netherlands to the World

Sinds September 2025, after six years of pioneering on the frontlines, I returned to the Netherlands. I now have a stable home base again and, since February 1st, 2026, I serve for Hope for Every Home, focusing on national mission, church networks, and leadership within the Netherlands.

However, my heart for international frontiers remains uncompromised. Caring Arms has transitioned into my personal ministry platform. From here, I launch regular mission trips – often hitting the road with my evangelism camper van. Trips to nations like Uganda and Romania were recently completed, and a three-month winter outreach to Tenerife is scheduled for late December.
